9/3 Update
Hey fam,
I just got off Facetime with my brother. He is still in ICU at UAB being monitored after his surgery Friday. They are in talks with him moving into a regular room but still have major concerns with his blood pressure situation. It’s been almost two weeks of him being in the hospital and of course, emotionally that’s tough. Our late Mom’s birthday is tomorrow and it was a holiday on Monday. He still seemed like he was doing better in general and gearing up his mindset for the necessary changes that would have to happen to live a better quality of life. Be praying with him and our family at large.
I’m reminded of life being a journey and change doesn’t happen overnight. You may be reading this and seeing some choices you need to make. Just take it one day at a time. One step at a time. I’ll leave you with this:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;
in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.
Don’t be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
This will be healing for your body and strengthening for your bones.
Honor the Lord with your possessions and with the first produce of your entire harvest;
then your barns will be completely filled, and your vats will overflow with new wine.
Do not despise the Lord’s instruction, my son, and do not loathe his discipline;
for the Lord disciplines the one he loves, just as a father disciplines the son in whom he delights.”
Proverbs 3:5-12 CSB
Until next time
