Get out of the way.....

I have this challenge every time I sit in front of a computer to type a blog for you guys. I am first flooded with a million things I want to say about a million things and then I’m flooded with a million reasons you wouldn’t want to hear about anything I have to say. I know. I know. Ugh.

I am reading this book by Andrew Peterson called Adorning The Dark and it’s really good. For those who don’t know, he’s a song writer and author. He wrote that book to help people like me who feel “called” to create and to show us that we are not the only insane ones in the world who struggle with insecurities and doubts. I recommend the book. Anyway he encouraged us to write a word that turns into a sentence which turns into a paragraph. That is what I am doing right now. OK.

Here’s what I want to say to you in light of all that. GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY!!

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us of this:
”For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

We each have unique talents, gifts and desires inside of us that were given by God to serve people and bring them to an awareness of him. WE often will be our own biggest obstacle to doing those things. The enemy will use past mistakes, feelings of inadequacy, doubts and fears to stunt us and keep us stagnant. I want to encourage you each today to be who God has designed you to be. I pray that as you spend time with the Father and healthy community that he begins to electrify you again towards what he’s placed in you. We need it. You need it. Through the spirit’s enabling we can do this. OK. That’s all for now.
