Help us Father

“We recall, in the presence of our God and Father, your work produced by faith, your labor motivated by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 1:3 CSB

Father,

May our work always be produced by faith in you, our triune God! We need your help to not get caught in the snare of our labor being motivated by anything other than love. In this world, it’s so easy to do even good things to be seen or approved by man. Help us fully receive the love poured out on us from the bloody cross Jesus gave his life on! Help us fully embrace the power deposited in us because he got up from the grave! We want to finish strong! May hope in our Lord Jesus Christ inspire and fuel our endurance. May Jesus, who is the perfect revelation of who God is and what humanity should be, be the one we look to.
