Thank You!
Psalm 95:2 CSB
“Let’s enter his presence with thanksgiving;
let’s shout triumphantly to him in song.”
A few Sundays ago as I was leading our congregation in singing to the Lord, I felt led to lead us into audibly saying “Thank You” to God, together. It turned out to be an incredible moment that we won’t soon forget. I began to just exhort and list things we had to be thankful for. I needed that because it’s been something the Lord has been reminding me of and something that I allowed the last few years of my life to drain out of me. I’m referring to a thankful heart and attitude of gratitude. It’s so easy to be worn out by repetitive traumatic and horrible situations that you began to believe that there is no “goodness” left in the world. Even in the worst of scenarios for the believer because of Christ there is hope and always a reason, even if it’s super small give thanks. I remember the scripture that said, “in all circumstances gives thanks”. Listen, I know that is easy to say but it’s a real discipline. I am having to be really mindful. I have noticed that as I begin to posture my heart in that way I see little things I am able to say thank you for. I was at the grocery store the other morning looking for a beef roast to cook and found a nice-sized one for not a lot of money. If you’re a cook you’d understand that miracle because they’ve been making small cuts for a lot of money. Anyway, LOL. I literally uttered the words “Thank you, Lord!”. This post may be insignificant to many but I’m really excited about what God is doing in my heart. I’ve challenged myself to do a daily journal of something I am grateful for. It recalibrates and balances my heart and I hope the same for you.
Alright done babbling!
Love yall
Until next time
