Let me start this post off by saying I am very thankful for our Lord, Jesus Christ, who was bodily resurrected from the grave! He is alive! If you’re reading this and don’t know him, he knows you and desires a relationship with you!
Today was by far the worst logistical day I’ve ever had since we planted New Creation Fellowship. I won’t bore you with all that happened but just know that I got home after Liturgy and had some leftovers for a light lunch and the whole container fell apart and fell on the floor. HAHAHA. That’s the kinda day today has been.
However, it didn’t ruin me as it would have in years past because of a few things. I have matured in Christ and age haha but also, the Word of God, Holy Spirit, and the Global Church were amazing aids in keeping my focus on what mattered today.
As the day started to unfold in chaos I was reminded of the lesson Jesus taught Martha. She had a sincere desire to host and handle the logistics of the fellowship but missed the importance of sitting at Jesus’s feet and hearing his words. She wasn’t rebuked for working but was lovingly taught what was the better thing. In all the chaos, that helped me remember today the saints are gathering to sing, hear the word of God, take new covenant meal (communion) and today we celebrated Baptism for the first time together!!
I have this video in my phone sent to me from my dear brother Pastor Dalitso who lives and serves in Malawi Africa and it’s a group of men in a circle singing and clapping with no music and nothing extra and fancy going on except pure and joyful praise to our Father. I watch that almost every Sunday to remind me what this is really about.
Lastly, Holy Spirit reminded me of the evil one’s desire for me to be distracted and that when this kind of stuff happens to lock in and focus in prayer. I just begin throughout my day to pray and recite the word to myself.
I felt led to share this day because life happens like this at random times. We never know what to expect. We must actively engage though and not just check out or muster through the day. Our Lord is with us. He’s present and active in all things.
Now, the best part of my day happened a little bit after my lunch dropped and I hysterically laughed. I got the sweetest voice message from my nephew simply saying “Happy Easter”. Holy Spirit put in my heart to ask him did he know what today represented and I proceeded to explain and take the opportunity to share what Jesus did for the whole world, including him. I immediately felt the Lord’s presence and all of the day’s chaos vanished.
I don’t know how your day has been. I don’t know how you feel life is going. All I know is that Jesus got up out of that grave and those of us who hope in him will never be put to shame! Jesus is coming back and we (those of us who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb and live his narrow way in obedience) will be with him forever in glorified bodies free from sin forever!!! Hallelujah!!! Glory to you Jesus!
I’m losing it right now….Hallelujah!! He is alive!
P.S. I am not editing this or correcting typos today. I just gotta be raw and real haha.
Until next time
